Georgia O’Keeffe

Flowers and bones

White Calla Lilies

And ivory remains

Of what used to be

A grazing cow.

Flaming reds and oranges

Calm purples and nonchalant blues

Paintings

And photographs

Of love and betrayal.

Cityscape

Barren desert

Cloistered or endless

Neither

A refuge.

Mixing tears with colors

Until vision departs

And only

The hand can see.
